Loading... Please wait...Last year during Halloween my family and I were vacationing in Miami Beach and oddly enough we went on a Miami Duck Tours tour on Halloween day! Through my father's job he got a great deal on taking a Miami vacation for our whole family. The only problem with this vacation was that it was to take place during Halloween and I have two little brothers that are seven and ten years old who cannot miss getting their candy on that holiday.
But my mother had promised them that they will get their candy and that we would bring their costumes with us for the vacation. We have all been to Orlando, Florida as a family before. This vacation however was the first time that us kids had been to Miami Beach. I am 17 years old by the way so I am not that concerned with going trick-or-treating anymore. Just in case you were wondering.
We arrived in South Beach three days before Halloween and we were looking around to see all the different things that we could do while we were there. We stopped into a tourist information center to get a better idea about some Miami tours and activities that we would like to partake in. There were a great number of Miami tours that we could do so we had to narrow down our list from about twenty Miami attractions. At the top of pretty much everybody's list of things they wanted to do was the Miami Duck Tours.
Except for the two young boys who were just going bananas about taking an Everglades tour, Apparently Miami Beach is very busy doing this time of year so we had to make our arrangements according to how many openings each of the Miami tours had and when they had them. We signed up to take an Everglades tour on the very next day. They did have openings for the five of us and we wanted to let the young boys have taken the Miami tour they wanted so that they would not be complaining about everything. Going to the Everglades for a Miami tour was a great decision as it turned out. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the Everglades National Park. The following day we all went snorkeling in Key Biscayne which was also a lot of fun for the whole family. Finally the big day came where we were going to take our Miami Duck Tours tour and it was Halloween.
Therefore the two young boys wanted to dress up in their costumes for the day and since we were away from home and their friends my parents decided to accommodate them so that they could have a fun Halloween. The older of my two brothers wanted to go as Dracula and my younger of the two brothers dressed up as Batman. It was hysterical to find out when we finally got picked up by the Miami Duck Tours tour bus that there were other children taking the tour and they were also dressed in their costumes.
To make matters even crazier visit Miami tour bus driver was dressed up as a pirate! He had also bought a lot of candy for the kids to take which was very nice of him. We had a great time on the Miami Duck Tours tour and the two boys really enjoyed themselves also. Later that evening we took the boys all around South Beach and they got tons of candy and were thrilled. They even asked if next year we could come back to Miami again for Halloween.
